Rail Garant Group and Spetsenergotrans have established a joint venture named RailSpetsTrans.

The joint venture’s main business area will be transporting cargoes by rail in covered train cars. RailSpetsTrans will manage a fleet established by consolidating the appropriate rolling stock of the two partner companies. The new company will be given about 3,000 covered train cars from Spetsenergotrans, and more than 2,000 from Rail Garant on an open-end lease.

RailSpetsTrans will have a fleet of 5,000 covered train cars, and will be the 3rd largest such train car operator in Russia.
