Rail Garant Group began transportation of steam coal for household and domestic needs to the areas of the RF conterminal to Kazakhstan, namely: Kurgan, Omsk, Novosibirsk regions and Altai Territory.

Traditionally these regions were supplied with the coal delivered from Ekibastuzskiy coal field. However, after the order of KTZh on application of Kazakhstan carriages exclusively for transportation within the country borders had come into effect, provision of the neighboring Russian regions with coal during the cold season was jeopardized. Rail Garant Group readily assisted in solving this problem by launching the project for transportation of coal to the specified regions by means of its rolling stock.

“Presently the transportation volume within the framework of this project amounts to approximately 20 thousand tons per month. Transportation of coal will be carried out until the plan for delivery of fuel for the winter season is fully realized,” states Dmitry Korovyakov, the Managing Director of Pipeline Transport Company.
