RAIL GARANT and Tallin Port have concluded agreement to launch new container terminal in Muuga port

24/05/11
On April 11, Rail Garant and AS Tallinna Sadam signed a cooperation agreement to develop a new container terminal. The new terminal and the adjacent freight terminal are transferred to Rail Garant Group for 50 years under the public-private partnership agreement.

The Tallinn Sea Port completed infrastructure construction last year in summer: it has put up the quay wall and prepared the site for completion development work. Rail Garant will have to lay utilities, cover the terminal with concrete slabs and provide it with all necessary equipment and facilities.

Besides, Rail Garant Group intends to install the railway infrastructure at the freight terminal: 4-6 access rail roads over 1 kilometer long.
The terminal is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2013.
