At the beginning of July STG (Rail Garant Group) successfully finished trial transportation of rosin from Western Siberia to Bashkortostan. 4 tank container was involved in the project. The volume of the transported freight made about 80 tons.
Transportation of such freights demands special conditions. The most important is the strict observance of temperature condition over 200 C˚ at loading/unloading of a product. "Standard tank containers, intended for transportation of a wide range of freights with the stemheating to 130 C˚, aren't suitable therefore we used containers equipped not only with stemheater, but also with the system of electroheating. TEH (tubular electric heaters) located in a copper of tank container allow to warm a product up to the necessary temperature and to bring it into a liquid state for the purpose of further plum", explained managing director of STG Maria Surina.
Usually transportation of the melted rosin are carried out in rail tank cars. STG is the first Russian company which carried out transportation of this product in tank containers. Owning a wide line of containers with various technical characteristics, STG plans further extension of the nomenclature of the transported liquefied freights.
