Optima TransAvto has won a tender to be the new rail operator of Ford Sollers Holding.
26/03/12The results of the tender conducted by Ford Sollers Holding for automobile transportation by rail were tallied in February of this year. Optima TransAvto, the third largest rail car transporter in Russia, won the tender.
Optima TransAvto (part of Rail Garant group of companies) signed a long-term contact with Ford Sollers Holding on March 20th for transporting Ford cars. Under the contract, Optima TransAvto will conduct transportation of Ford cars made both in Russia and abroad from St. Petersburg to various cities in Russia. Optima TransAvto will be responsible for transporting all Ford cars that are delivered by railroad within Russia. Transportation is planned to be started at the end of March of this year. Optima TransAvto will transport from 120-150 wagons of Ford cars monthly. |
