Since the beginning of the year, Pipe Transport Company has been demonstrating the stable and dynamic development, which is confirmed by the significant increase of traffic volume and roll-ing stock.

According to the results of 10 months of the year 2010, the traffic volume was about 8 million tonnes, which is two times higher than indices of the same period of the year 2009.

Thus, the traffic volume in covered cars increased four times, container transportation increased three times, transportation with all-purpose flatcars increased 2.5 times, and transportation with pipe cars increased by 12 %. However, the most dynamical transportation was one with open cars.

This increase is connected in the first place with the increase of rolling stock. According to the results of 10 months, it reached 11.5 thousand of cars. The main growth is related to open cars rolling stock; their quantity approached 6,000 units, which was 51 % of the common rolling stock. In addition, a significant part of the PTC operating rolling stock, as before, consists of flatcars for LDP transportation, that are 11 %, and covered cars, that are 9 %, and cement bulk cars, that are 7 %.
