Sberbank-Leasing and Pipe Transport Company started to cooperate in the field of upgrading of rolling stock of the Russian Federation.

Pipe Transport Company LLC (PTC), which is a large Russian carrier and one of the leaders in the large diameter pipe transportation, leased from Sberbank-Leasing JSC that is one of the larg-est of rolling stock market players over 1,100 units of railway engineering manufactured in Rus-sia including open cars, container platforms, covered cars and cement bulk cars.

At the moment, 800 cars from that batch has already been provided to PTC and involved in projects. The commissioning of remaining 300 covered cars is planned to complete till the end of September of this year.

Now, PTC handles about 9,500 rolling stock units. Taking into account the investment program, the Company rolling stock may increase up to 11,000 units in 2010.
